ODBC

When Merak Email Server is configured to use ODBC compliant data storage (recommended when the number of Accounts reaches around 1000), applications can modify all aspects of the Server via simple database access. Changes are instantly reflected within Merak Email Server.

API

Several APIs are provided allowing developers to create desktop applications able to interact with Merak Email Server. Programming languages such as Delphi, BC++ Builder, MS VC++, ASP, and VB can be used. The API is easy to understand and can control every aspect of the Server.

Web-based email

Using our intelligent and fast Webmail Interface, which is fully skinnable, developers can easily integrate a comprehensive, customised, web-based email client into their applications.

COM Objects

Merak Email Server ships with several COM objects that can be used immediately after installation. The Server is also fully compatible with 3rd party mail objects such as ASPMail and Jmail etc.

Server Modules

Merak Email Server has the option of creating "Executable" Accounts, which can trigger the execution of an executable module, DLL, or URL on receipt of an email. This allows Developers to create code which can be executed remotely. Password protection is, of course, included! For example, the Server could be rebooted simply by sending an email to it.
