IceWarp backups your server settings and account information, automatically and regularly. Or you can opt to keep hold of the reins yourself, and do manual backups with the click of a single button.


If the time comes when you need to restore your system, IceWarp can do so as quickly and easily as it backed them up.


IceWarp maintains backups with special compression algorithms, designed specifically for mail server data. It manages to do so without hogging system resources, preventing slowdowns. You will also find that the data IceWarp backed up occupies minimal space. And yet the whole process was both smooth and efficient.

Mail Server Archive

There are legal and administrative dimensions to archiving. In compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, IceWarp archives messages server-side, with rotation and backup. The Administration can, at its discretion, opt to automatically delete them after a specified number of days, or keep them indefinitely.


IceWarp saves these messages as files in a tree folder structure, which makes restoration very easy. You will only need to extract the content of the archives to a selected IMAP folder where they are immediately available for audit.

Mail Server Filtering

IceWarp lets you enforce internal communication policies by establishing usage limits and advanced content-filtering and scanning methods. This will ensure the elimination of undesired content.


Upon discovering an infringement, you can opt to delete or forward the message in accordance with your company policies. You can also run external processes and ban the sender.
